Floating Candle Bowls
When it comes to selecting your floating clandle blows, there are numerous options. The fish-bowl type bowl is what most people thinking of when it comes to floating clandle blows. But be more creative, and you could come up with a unique and floating candle centerpiece. Consider:
The shape
There are more options than the normal medium sized round bowl. Try looking for:
- Geometrical shapes like squares, rectangles, cylinders
- You could try look for non-traditional bowls and try looking for uniquely shaped jars
The color
The standard floating candle bowls are transparent. However, you could consider using coloured glass to go along with other colors you're using in your theme. It's important though, to make sure that your bowl has as much transparency as possible so that the candle can still be seen.
You could also consider using a couple of colours distributed on the different tables. For example if you're using warm colours, you could half the tables with red tinted bowls and the other half with red tinted ones.
The size
For practicality's sake, it's best to use medium sized bowls. You don't want the bowls to take up too much space or else your guests won't have ample space for their meals. Any size you choose is fine, but you may also want to try larger than normal bowls for that unique look. Consider bowls that are longer instead of wider.

Sometimes less is more. I don't want to make it seem like bigger is always better. Sometimes smaller can be more eyecatching. Maybe you could even use smaller bowls. Or even a mixture of 2 different sizes.
While the traditional floating candle bowls are just fine. You may want to add a bit more of a WOW factor with different shaped, coloured and sized bowls.
